The Washington Post on Wednesday published a searing indictment of the Obama administration for disregarding a plea from health experts to declare a public health emergency for overdoses from fentanyl, the powerful synthetic opioid that was already racking up a body count in 2016 and would go on to kill thousands of people over the next three years.
Luke Perry and his fiancee Wendy Madison Bauer had a late summer wedding planned, according to a save the date card(see it HERE). The notice had a grey and gold color scheme with a wedding date set for August 19, 2019, but did not share any additional information about the nuptials.
As we already reported, the beloved actor passed away at the age of 52 “surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends” on March 4 at his home in Sherman Oaks, California. It was just days after suffering a massive stroke, per a statement from his representative.
His cause of death was revealed on Wednesday morning to be an ischemic cerebrovascular accident, commonly known as a stroke, after his death certificate was obtained by TMZ.
The document also revealed that his body was transported to Dickson, Tennessee, where he was buried on Monday, March 11. He had a farm in the area and lived there part-time.
Multiple Tennesseans have shared stories and photos following his death from when he volunteered to help bring food to those in need during a 2010 flood:
RIP actor and sometime Middle Tennessee resident Luke Perry. (90210) He owned a farm in Van Leer and helped Souls for Souls deliver food and shoes here during the 2010 flood. Perry suffered a stroke Friday and I am just learning of his passing. Please pray for his family. pic.twitter.com/9WxwB9IaVY
“I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”
Wendy continued:
“The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him. I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”
The actor’s 18-year-old daughter Sophie also recently responded to trolls who have criticized her grieving process on her Instagram:
Sens. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced legislation Tuesday that would expand Americans’ access to paid family leave and help families better balance work and family.
Kim Kardashian West continues to open up about her struggles with psoriasis.
On Monday, the KKW Beauty mogul shared that she experienced yet another flare up of the pesky skin condition, which occurs when extra skin cells rapidly build up to the surface of skin forming scales and red patches that are itchy and sometimes painful.
Kim was first diagnosed with the condition by a dermatologist back in 2011.
Mrs. West took to her Instagram Stories to give her followers a raw, close look at her “psoriasis face,” sans any makeup to hide the patchy red bumps scattered across her face.
See it for yourself (below):
Ugh, looks uncomfortable!
As we mentioned earlier, this isn’t the first time Kim has struggled with her skin condition.
Back in December, North West‘s momma earnestly asked fans for tips and suggestions on how to deal with it on Twitter, saying:
“I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis. I’ve never seen it like this before and I can’t even cover it at this point. It’s taken over my body. Has anyone tried a medication for psoriasis & what kind works best? Need help ASAP!!!”
Lucky for her, many followers responded with words of encouragement, and helpful hacks to manage the chronic condition.
And most recently, the momma of three used a natural herbal ointment to treat her flare up last month. She has also started taking light therapy, which she once called her “new best friend” to help combat her psoriasis.
Between those fan suggestions and continued light therapy treatment, hopefully Kim can get a a handle on her condition. Here’s to hoping things improve quickly for her!
Perezcious readers, can you relate to KKW’s woes? Do you struggle from psoriasis or a condition that makes you feel a little less confident? Got any tips for the reality TV maven?

“*trigger warning* 2 years into my abusive relationship I resorted to self harm. When my abuser would threaten or attack me, I cut my wrist as a way to disarm him. It only made the abuse stop temporarily. At that point I was desperate to stop the relentless abuse and I was too terrified to leave. #IAmNotOk”
That same day, the thespian also shared snaps from a photoshoot where she was “emaciated, severely depressed, and could barely stand” because she “was so weakened by an abusive relationship.” After falling “into a pool of tears,” Wood was sent home early.
As seen here:
She wrote:

The North Carolina-native opened up about her past as part of the “I Am Not OK” movement, whose focus is to spread awareness about physical abuse.
In a January 2019 essay for Nylon, Wood revealed she once attempted suicide when she was 22. She wrote:
“I am not a mental health expert, but I can share with you one of my experiences with it. When I was 22, I willingly checked myself into a psychiatric hospital, and I have absolutely no shame about it. Looking back, it was the worst, best thing that ever happened to me. It was morning; I felt as though I had been hit by a truck. Then with an almost hysterical acceptance, without thinking, I picked up the phone. It was one of those moments when you have a choice that goes beyond the initial choice you make by calling out for help: You can not die, or you can come back to life. ‘Mom?… It’s me… I just tried to kill myself… I need to go to a hospital.’ When I said I needed to go to a hospital, I did not mean I needed to go for any physical injuries I may or may not have had. I meant a hospital for my state of mind.”
In October 2017, Rachel posted a YouTube video where she got real about her experiences with sexual assault.
While she described her alleged abusers as “very powerful, very rich, very entitled, very narcissistic white men,” she refused to name names, explaining:
“I haven’t named my abusers for a number of reasons. One, I’m one person against some very powerful people. Two: money and time and re-traumatizing yourself, go after the person who assaulted you takes quite a toll. It’s a terrifying thing to go through, mainly because you are at the risk of not being believed, your career being hurt, you being drained of your finances because it costs a lot of money to file a lawsuit and go to court with someone, especially if all you have is your word against theirs. And especially if these are very powerful people.”
