Poetic Justice: Tucker Digs Up Media Matters President’s Past of Staggeringly ‘Bigoted’ Writing

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been slammed by the liberal group Media Matters for his old, crude comments, but Media Matters President Angelo Carusone has made exceptionally “bigoted” comments of his own. On Sunday, Media Matters released a compilation of recording made more than a decade ago, when Carlson called in to “The Bubba the…

Watch: Tucker Carlson Hammers ‘Enthusiastic Bigot’ Media Matters Head Angelo Carusone

Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson went on the offensive against Media Matters for America president Angelo Carusone, who Carlson labeled an “enthusiastic bigot” for once running what he called a “racist blog.” Carlson had been under fire after Media Matters “unearthed” remarks the Fox News host made while calling into the “Bubba the Love Sponge Show” going back more than a decade ago. Carlson first criticized MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, who recently had Carusone on his “All In” program. “Chris Hayes is an anchor over on MSNBC — the one with the glasses,” Carlson said. “Hayes’ political views aren’t very interesting: Cringing hipster sensitivity, burnished with low-grade academic buzzwords. Pretty banal stuff. But Hayes always seemed like a decent guy personally. He didn’t seem like a hater. It was hard to imagine him promoting open racism and antisemitism, or at least it was, until the other night. That’s when Hayes invited a man called Angelo Carusone onto his show.” Carlson rehashed Carusone’s numerous blog posts that have been called into question, noting that Carusone has accused others of “bigotry.” “Carusone runs Media Matters,” he continued. “Almost every day, he issues outraged press releases accusing other people

Gutsy Tucker Blasts GOP Leadership After His Audio from Old Interview Explodes Online

For five years between 2006 and 2011, Tucker Carlson appeared occasionally on the show of shock-jock Bubba the Love Sponge. On Sunday, Media Matters for America…

Tucker Carlson: ‘We Will Never Bow to the Mob, Ever — No Matter What’

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson elaborated on his earlier statement regarding comments he had made on a radio show between 2006 and 2011. Carlson explained how the situation unfolded, what he perceived to be the motivations of those involved in the “unearthing” of the clips and vowed he would not “bow to the mob.” He described Fox News Channel’s primetime line-up as one of the only places where “independent thoughts are allowed,” which Carlson said had drawn the ire of the left. “For the left, it’s unacceptable. They demand total conformity. Since the day we went on the air, they’ve been working hard to kill this show. We haven’t said much about it in public. It seemed too self-referential. The point of the show has never been us. But now it’s obvious to everybody — there’s no pretending it’s not happening. It is happening. And so going forward, we’ll be covering their effort to make us be quiet.” “For now, two points to leave you with. First, Fox News is behind us as they have been since the very first day. Toughness is a rare quality in a TV network, and we are grateful for

Tucker Carlson Vows ‘We Will Never Bow to the Mob,’ But Some Big Advertisers Have

Tucker Carlson took to Fox News Channel’s 8 p.m. slot knowing he had the full support of the cable-news network’s regular viewers. He did not enjoy the same backing from big blue-chip advertisers. Fox News’ broadcast of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Monday night featured just four ad breaks and very few big national commercials, relying instead […]
