POLL: Should President Trump pardon Paul Manafort?

Paul Manafort, who briefly served as President Trump’s campaign manager in 2016, was hit with an additional prison sentence by a second judge on Wednesday.

Manafort now faces a combined sentence of over seven years for tax and bank fraud and conspiracy in two related cases brought by the special counsel, Robert Mueller.

Moments after the additional prison time was issued on Wednesday, the State of New York filed a 16-count indictment against Manafort, alleging a yearlong scheme in which he falsified business records to obtain millions of dollars in loans.

President Trump has refused to say whether or not he would issue a pardon for Manafort, but said Wednesday that he feels badly for him. “It’s a very sad situation,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “Certainly on a human basis, it’s a very sad thing. I feel badly for him.”

However, if Manafort is convicted on the charges brought against him by the State of New York, reportedly the president would be unable to issue a pardon for those charges.

PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL BELOW – WE WANT YOUR OPINION. Should President Trump pardon Paul Manafort for the federal charges he has now been sentenced for, or stay out of it completely?

POLL: Should Tucker Carlson be fired from Fox News?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday delivered an opening monologue on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” addressing the growing controversy regarding past comments he made on a radio show, which some pundits in the mainstream media have labeled as misogynistic and inappropriate.

Media Matters, a left-leaning organization that routinely targets conservatives, released audio Sunday featuring Carlson’s appearances on a popular “shock jock” radio program hosted by Todd Clem. In the clips, Carlson makes a number of derogatory comments about women and comments about issues related to sexual abuse.

Critics of Carlson, mostly on the left, have lambasted Carlson and have voiced for a boycott of his show. Meanwhile, defenders of Carlson pointed out the radio show is primarily satire, and that there have been far worse examples of liberal media figures not being held to the same standard for their past controversial actions and comments.

In Carlson’s monologue, he labeled the mainstream media’s outrage as mob mentality, and states that he will not bow down to their demands of canceling his television show.

“Fox News is behind us, as they have been since the very first day,” Carlson said. “Toughness is a rare quality in a TV network, and we’re grateful for that.”

“We’ve always apologized when we’re wrong, and we’ll continue to do that,” he added. “That’s what decent people do. They apologize. But we will never bow to the mob, ever, no matter what.”

POLL: Was Judge Jeanine Pirro wrong in her remarks about Ilhan Omar?

Judge Jeanine Pirro has been blasted by her remarks about Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on her show Saturday evening, in which she questioned if Omar’s custom of wearing a hijab was an adherence to Sharia law.

Pirro said Omar’s anti-Israel stance isn’t a part of the Democratic Party, and asked, if it’s not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from? “Think about it. Omar wears a hijab… Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the US Constitution?”

Pirro noted that it is disturbing if Omar is someone who is “Sharia-compliant.”

Fox News hurriedly condemned the comment, saying Pirro’s remarks “do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”

Pirro was then forced to release a statement, in which she said, “I did not call Rep. Omar un-American. My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution.”

PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL BELOW – WE WANT YOUR OPINION.  Do YOU believe Omar’s custom of wearing a hijab is done in order to comply with Sharia law?

POLL: Should AOC be investigated?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has vowed to pass sweeping tax hikes on the wealthy. However, the freshman lawmaker and self-acclaimed socialist as her own unpaid tax bill problems to handle. AOC’s company Book Avenue Press, which she founded in in 2o12, owes $1,870.36 in corporate taxes to the state of New York.

The state targeted the Bronx company with a warrant on July 6, 2017, two months after Ocasio-Cortez announced her candidacy to run against Democratic incumbent Joe Crowley.

Ocasio-Cortez also recently signed on to a bill to tax stock trades. She has previously called for a 70 percent tax on incomes over $10 million in order to help finance the Green New Deal. At the same time, her campaign manager has been accused of breaking campaign finance laws by funneling PAC money.

AOC continues to get caught in situations that contradict her actions. Should the freshman Congresswoman be investigated for some of these accusations and financial issues?

POLL: Did the ‘anti-hate’ resolution chastise or empower Ilhan Omar?

Following backlash over anti-Semitic remarks made by Democratic Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar, the House passed a resolution on Thursday to address the matter.

However, 23 Republicans refused to vote for the measure, as it was watered down to include many other “forms of hatred,” along with anti-Semitism, and did not even mention Omar by name.

The resolution threw in condemnation against “white supremacists” for “targeting traditionally persecuted peoples, including African Americans, Native Americans, and other people of color, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, immigrants, and others with verbal attacks, incitement, and violence.”

Democrats later amended the bill to condemn any hatred against Latinos, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders and the LGBTQ community.

Ilhan Omar, whose anti-Semitic remarks prompted the bill, voted for it herself, and later issued a statement, along with her fellow Muslim colleagues, Rashida Tlaib and Andrew Carson, applauding the measure as “great progress,” saying, “Today is historic on many fronts. It’s the first time we have voted on a resolution condemning Anti-Muslim bigotry in our nation’s history. Anti-Muslim crimes have increased 99% from 2014-2016 and are still on the rise.”

PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL BELOW – WE WANT YOUR OPINION. Did the ‘anti-hate’ resolution chastise or simply empower Ilhan Omar?

Who Should Be The Next ‘Bachelorette’?? Cast Your Vote HERE!

We’re almost ready for the Bachelor finale!! And while whoever Colton Underwood chooses will be exciting, most of Bachelor Nation is already looking ahead to see who will be the next Bachelorette.

The last lady ABC chose, Becca Kufrin, wasn’t particularly exciting — so we hope they go for the gusto this round!

Related: Caelynn Miller-Keyes Talks Death Threats And Bullying Since Leaving The Show!

We want you to choose who the next reality TV queen should be (below), but before that, let’s share a little about the ladies on the network’s radar already!

Let’s start with the obvious choice…

Hannah BRown

In the Women Tell All special that aired on Tuesday, Hannah was highlighted quite a bit and even told host Chris Harrison she was looking for “fierce love.” Her time in the hot seat was very focused on what’s next for the former beauty queen — and many think that’s stepping into the Bachelorette‘s shoes. That, and it appears she was dressed by the ABC series stylist per some sleuthing by former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky! Trying to control her image already, are we??

Caelynn Miller-Keyes

Caelynn got her heart completely ripped out by Colton right after hometown dates. The camera loves her and she really won a lot of people over with her rawness, when confessing she is a sexual assault survivor to the entire world. Though TayshiaKirpa, and some others have said she’s not ready to settle, we do think Caelynn’s ultimately here for lasting love!

Demi Burnett

This 23-year-old with a complicated familial backstory would surely bring the sass and sexiness to the role of Bachelorette! Demi loved to stir the pot on Colton’s season, and would probably stir up drama with the men competing to win her heart. We could also see her causing a ruckus on Bachelor in Paradise! Either way, this chick was sent from the reality TV heavens.

Tayshia Adams

Even though Tayshia is still in the running to win Colton’s heart, we have to include her in the mix! She’s got a great heart and would bring a different flavor to the role having been married before! She’s also super adventurous and fun!

Hannah Goodwin

She won the first impression rose, is in Colton’s finale two, and has a sparkling personality! Hannah is SO NICE, but is there more to her? Maybe we’ll find out if she’s chosen to be the next Bachelorette!

Cassie Randolph

Cassie would have been the winner of Colton’s season, IF she was into him!! The blonde beauty shattered his heart into pieces and caused the infamous fence jump seen round the reality TV world! We’re unsure if Cassie’s not ready to find love, or Colton just wasn’t the right person. Either way, it would be a fun twist if she was chosen to rep ABC.

Wildcard

Perhaps The Bachelorette creators might go rouge and choose someone from a former season of The Bachelor, or a random woman altogether. Remember when the series creator Mike Fleiss claimed Khloe Kardashian was in the running following her cheating scandal with Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods?? LOL.

Ok, so, now that you’re informed — GO VOTE!!

Radio Stations Dropping Michael Jackson Music After ‘Leaving Neverland’ — What Do YOU Think??

Wow, this is an unexpectedly strong stance!

The Leaving Neverland documentary was a very convincing portrait of Michael Jackson as a child molester who preyed on young children and scared them into silence.

If you believe the things he was accused of by Wade Robson and James Safechuck really happened, it is impossible to ever think of the King of Pop the same way again.

Related: Corey Feldman Has His Own Take — And His Own Weird MJ Story

But what happens to all that great music? Can you still listen to it? Or is it yet another victim??

Multiple radio stations around the world have decided to stop playing Michael Jackson songs altogether following the four-hour reminder of the allegations.

In New Zealand, where Michael was once hugely popular, MediaWorks Radio operates nine nationwide stations and even more regional ones. And they have chosen to remove MJ from their airwaves. Director Leon Wratt explained the decision in a statement to CNN:

“Michael Jackson isn’t currently on any MediaWorks Radio stations’ playlists. This is a reflection of our audiences and their preferences — it is our job to ensure our radio stations are playing the music people want to hear.”

And others have agreed. Rival NZME‘s entertainment director Dean Buchanan did not commit long term, but did say for now the Thriller is gone:

“NZME station playlists change from week to week and right now Michael Jackson does not feature on them.”

And publicly funded Radio NZ confirmed they would only play Jackson’s music as “part of a news story or to provide color around a commentary piece.”

Meanwhile the CBC is reporting three major Montreal stations have taken the same route in removing the King of Pop.

So do you agree with the move to censor Michael’s music?

Obviously if you aren’t buying the accusations against the Beat It singer, you’ll have no problem continuing to rock out to Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal.

But if you’re on the side of the accusers, if you believe Jackson did those things, can you still look in the mirror while listening to Man In The Mirror? Can you still Remember the Time without, you know, remembering the really bad times?

In short, can you separate the art from the artist? Do you think other people should?

Let us know what you think about this ongoing, difficult question:

POLL: Would you support year-around daylight savings time?

Daylight savings time begins on Sunday, as Americans move their clocks forward one hour, in order to enjoy more daylight at the end of the day for the next 8 months.

Three Florida lawmakers – Sens. Marco Rubio (R) and Rick Scott (R) and Rep. Vern Buchanan (R) – have introduced a bill that would keep it that way, preventing the clocks from being moved back again in November.

The new legislation is called the “Sunshine Protection Act,” which would make daylight savings time permanent all year long.

PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL BELOW – WE WANT YOUR OPINION. Do you support this idea? Do you prefer more daylight at the end of the day? Or should they leave it alone?

POLL: Could an Independent win the presidency?

A few third party candidates usually make a run for the Oval Office every time a presidential election is held, but they are never taken seriously and never gain any real traction.

However, it is widely believed that a large majority of Americans are actually “in the middle” on political issues, and talks of potential Independent candidates are growing louder.

Former Starbucks Chairman/CEO Howard Schultz has been weighing a possible 2020 run as an Independent, and quietly building a political team.

“The failed political class of Washington, D.C., has broken America’s political system. And out of that are rising political extremes on both sides. President Trump is one extreme and on the other side is a vitriolic undermining of the American free enterprise system,” Schultz tweeted on Saturday.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban also indicated in an interview Monday night that he has not ruled out running for president, and would run as an Independent if he chooses to jump into the race.

PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL BELOW – WE WANT YOUR OPINION! Could an Independent win the presidency? Would Republicans actually vote for an Independent candidate?
